An unforgettable hunting trip in Quebec
The Lac Saint-Jean region, located in the migratory corridor of the snow goose and Canada goose, is the first and largest staging and feeding area for migratory birds in fall when they return from their nesting sites in Northern Canada.
Waterfowl (the emblematic snow goose, the Canada goose and wild ducks) are mainly hunted at dawn on agricultural land, in the marshes, rivers. We offer several types of field hunting options in terms of blinds and set-up, but the best remains natural hiding places (hedges, ditches…).
BearSpirit has access to a huge area of private land. The quality hunts are provided by a day of scouting. Our hunts occur in harvested grain fields where we observed duck or geese feeding in the previous days.
Each group of hunters is accompanied by a professional guide who has years of experience chasing waterfowl not only professionally but also in his leisure time. For this type of hunting, we recommend 12 gauge shotguns chambered 76 or 89. The use of non-toxic shot is obligatory.
“Little known and little coveted” in the province, the Lac Saint-Jean region offers choice habitat for woodcock hunting (scolopax minor). Our territories offer hunters an opportunity to see an impressive range of woodcock rises per day. You will be able to harvest ruffed grouse, spruce grouse, snipes and snowshoe hares. Of course, your dogs are welcome to ensure your success.

The sea duck hunting from mid-October to the end of November along the Saint-Lawrence River. The target species are common scoter and the eider duck.
